Curriculum Vitae

Hi! This is Sailik. After being born in a city called Calcutta and being raised there for a substantial amount of time, he developed a taste for life-long learning, thinking, coding, eating (lots of food), reading, listening to good music and clicking pictures.

At present, he is a Ph.D. student at Arizona State University and works with Dr. Subbarao Kambhampati. His research interests lie in developing machine learning and game theoretic techniques for cybersecurity systems and devising methods to help secure machine learning systems. He also has some interest in developing Decision Support Assistants for human-in-the-loop planning scenarios (by product of being in the Yochan Lab) and Natural Language Processing for goal-directed conversastions (by product of interning with the AWS Lex team). He also became an IBM Ph.D Fellow in 2018.

He likes to talk (a lot) and spends a lot of time doing so (sometimes on random topics completely unrelated to his research). He is often self-critical about his shortcomings and feels correcting them will help him to become a better person.

Feel free to reach out to him for any queries (or just say a 'hi'). You can download a copy of his CV here.

Lastly, since he gets asked this many times, the pronunciation of his name (Sailik) is Sho-e-lik in his native language, Bengali. It means the aesthetic quality of any work.
